This Educator Policy governs the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for Educators (“Educators”) collaborating with SiglerLabs. By joining as an Educator on the SiglerLabs platform, you agree to the terms below. These terms ensure SiglerLabs maintains control over the quality of content, intellectual property, and student engagement while facilitating a professional environment for educators.
1. Roles and Responsibilities
1.1 Content Creation
Educators are responsible for creating original, high-quality educational content that aligns with SiglerLabs’ standards and subject matter requirements. Content should be comprehensive, up-to-date, and relevant to the course objectives.
1.2 Student Engagement
Educators must actively engage with students by responding to questions, hosting interactive sessions, providing feedback on assignments, and ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
1.3 Timely Delivery
All course materials, including assignments, quizzes, and exams, should be delivered on time, adhering to the deadlines set by SiglerLabs.
1.4 Compliance
Educators must comply with all SiglerLabs policies, including intellectual property rights, code of conduct, and platform-specific guidelines.
2. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights
2.1 Transfer of Ownership
By creating and uploading content for SiglerLabs, Educators agree to transfer full and exclusive ownership rights of all educational materials to Sigler Digital Solution Pvt Ltd. This includes all digital assets such as video lectures, notes, quizzes, presentations, and assessments.
2.2 Rights of Use
SiglerLabs retains full rights to use, distribute, sell, modify, or otherwise commercialize the content without further consent or compensation to the Educator. Educators acknowledge that they do not retain any rights to use the content independently for any purpose, including commercial or educational purposes outside of SiglerLabs.
2.3 Third-Party Content
Educators must ensure that any third-party materials included in their courses (e.g., images, text, audio) are legally cleared and do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
3. Exclusivity and Non-Compete
3.1 Exclusive Partnership
Educators agree that content created for SiglerLabs shall not be used, shared, sold, or distributed on any other platform, website, or educational institution without written approval from SiglerLabs.
3.2 Non-Compete
During the term of engagement and for a period of 12 months after termination, Educators agree not to directly compete with SiglerLabs by offering similar educational content or services on competing platforms without SiglerLabs’ prior written consent.
4. Payments and Compensation
4.1 Compensation Structure
Educators will be compensated according to the terms agreed upon during the onboarding process. Payment will be based on course enrollment, engagement metrics, or other performance-based factors, as outlined in the educator’s agreement.
4.2 Payment Schedule
Payments will be disbursed monthly or upon completion of the course, depending on the agreement with SiglerLabs. Delays in delivering course materials or failure to meet engagement standards may impact the payout schedule.
5. Content Quality and Reviews
5.1 Content Standards
SiglerLabs reserves the right to review all content provided by Educators to ensure it meets the platform’s educational standards. Courses that do not meet these standards may be rejected or returned for revision.
5.2 Course Updates
Educators are expected to periodically update their course content to reflect the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and updated educational requirements.
6. Student Interaction and Support
6.1 Active Participation
Educators are required to actively participate in student discussions, provide feedback, and answer queries in a timely manner, ensuring an interactive learning experience.
6.2 Grading and Assessments
Educators must evaluate student work based on predetermined grading criteria and provide constructive feedback. All grading should be completed within the timeframes set by SiglerLabs.
6.3 Professional Conduct
Educators must uphold a professional and respectful tone when interacting with students. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or unprofessional behavior may result in immediate termination of the contract.
7. Termination of Agreement
7.1 Termination by SiglerLabs
SiglerLabs reserves the right to terminate the engagement of any Educator at any time for violation of platform policies, underperformance, or misconduct. Upon termination, Educators forfeit any further claims to payments or rights to content.
7.2 Termination by Educator
Educators may terminate their engagement by providing a minimum of 30 days’ written notice. However, they must ensure the completion of any ongoing course responsibilities before the termination is finalized.
8. Confidentiality
8.1 Confidential Information
Educators may have access to confidential information related to SiglerLabs, including student data, platform strategies, and proprietary systems. Educators agree to maintain the confidentiality of such information and not disclose it to third parties.
8.2 Data Protection
Educators must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws regarding the collection and handling of student data.
9. Amendments
SiglerLabs reserves the right to amend this Educator Policy at any time. Educators will be notified of any significant changes via email or the platform. Continued participation in the platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Educator Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes related to this policy will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
